The Japanese scientists have revealed a very shocking fact about water on Mars. According to Japanese scientists, water was formed on Mars about 4.4 billion years ago. The team of scientists has researched an ancient martian meteorite.

Some years ago, 2 martian meteorites were found in the Sahara desert. These meteorites are very expensive and are a mixture of many different rock fragments. Only a single gram of these meteorites can fetch up to $10,000.

Clues of water on Mars:

The name of these martian meteorites are NWA 7034 and NWA 7533. Now, these martian meteorites lead to a new discovery. After the analysis, the scientists found the clues of water on Mars, and this water was formed about 4.4 million years ago.

The scientists said that they already knew from past researchers that water was present on Mars for the last 3.7 million years. But now, after the analysis of the composition of these new meteorites, scientists confirmed that water on this red planet was formed about 4.4 million years ago.

Mikouchi, leader of the team said that these meteorites are composed of Igneous clasts or fragmented rock. The rocks are made up of magma and mainly caused by oxidation.

The oxidation on Mars is only possible due to the presence of water on the Martian surface. Due to the melting, a large amount of hydrogen would have released that caused planetary warming. However, the main cause of planetary warming on Mars is the presence of Carbon dioxide.

This new research and analysis will help scientists to find out the source of water on Mars. This new research can play an important role in the Mars mission of the various space agencies.
